Sr. Systems Administrator - Customer Relationship Management

We are seeking an individual for a Regular position as a Sr. Systems Administrator - Customer Relationship Management in the Information Technology Division.

Job Purpose:

Employees in this job function as information technology (IT) professionals serve as technical experts and participate in or oversee a variety of analytical and technical assignments that provide for problem diagnosis and solutions documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of a variety of hardware, software, and network products in an information technology infrastructure environment.

 

Primary Functions:

  • Provide technical analysis of system related problems and provide resolution options; run, interpret, and address system diagnostic and alert reports;

  • Report metric data to Management and prepare periodic metric reports; Monitors license and capacity to ensure incremental purchases are made at the appropriate time;

  • Provide periodic and as needed technical support, including after-hours enterprise infrastructure maintenance support, internal and external audit requests, and support to applications developers, Operations, and end-users;

  • Review vendor maintenance notifications and associated action plans;

  • Conduct technology reviews and planning to identify and implement new technology solutions;

  • Participate in Change Management Board and IT Standards Committee meetings as required;

  • Serves as a liaison between other technical staff, management, and vendors regarding service requests, usage, standards, security, and other technical matters;

· Assist with the scheduling of patches, upgrades and code release in line with business priorities and the team and work load;

· Work with the application team to test backup and recovery procedures;

  • Design, plan, and implement backup & recovery solutions of any complexity; develop and maintain clear and concise system documentation and technical standards;

  • Consult with application owners to develop customized backup procedures addressing operational and technical needs;

Linux Assignment:

  • Provide 24/7 support for OUAF (CC&B, SOA, SGG, MDM) applications running on RHEL 6.9 virtual environment;

  • Provide debug analysis as needed for web and application services;

  • Review system and service log files and take actions as needed;

  • Migrate/Replicate applications and services to replacement servers as required;

  • Analyze and address application performance issues;

  • Strong shell scripting skills and or administration scripting with python recommended.

  • In all assignments, perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study, from an accredited college or university;

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience administering Oracle OUAF applications in a complex Linux environment.

·  Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following:

o   Linux servers in virtualized environments;

o   Installing, configuring, and optimizing Oracle SOA components and composites;

o   Installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, etc;

o   Configuration management tools, such as Jenkins and Meridian;

o   Network tools such as Iptables, Linux IPVS, etc.;

o   Virtualization technologies, such as VMWare, Containers (Docker);

o   Servers and switches;

· Familiarity with all, but not limited to, the following:

o   The fundamentals of Linux scripting languages;

o   Load balancing, firewalls, etc.

· Ability to:

o   Build and monitor services on production servers.

o   Complete related tasks in area of assignment with minimal supervision;                                                                                                                                                                        

o   Understand overall business goals and how to align actions to achieve results;

o   Solve related problems within scope of authority, policies and guidelines;

o   Analyze complex problems and discover root cause; provide resolution options;

o   Run, interpret, and/or prepare a variety of systems-related reports and documentation (i.e., metrics, diagnostic and alert, vendor maintenance notifications);

o   Work with, sort, and distill a wide variety of data and information;

o   Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, compute rates, ratio and percentages;

o   Use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) and use standard office equipment (computer, fax, telephone, copier, etc.).

o   Respond 24/7/365; flexible schedule;

 

Rate of Pay: IT13E  Salary   $81,697.00 - 107,227.00
